# Balete Blades

> Balete Blades is the workshop of bladesmith Sean Alonzo, who makes one-of-one heirloom chef knives by hand. Each piece is made once and never repeated. Pieces are sold directly from this website, in US dollars, with a flat US$80 insured shipping fee per order.

## How the collection works

- Every knife is a one-of-one. When a piece sells it leaves the collection and moves to Previous Pieces.
- Pieces are offered in four tiers: Performance, Exceptional, Heirloom and Patron.
- Performance, Exceptional and Heirloom pieces are bought online through PayPal.
- Patron is limited to three places at a time. It is a bespoke, by-application commission, and is not sold online.
- Shipping is a flat US$80 per order, insured and signature-required. Import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient.
